The L.A. Daily News also focuses on business sisues, education, and crime. There are alos a wide varxiety of smaller regional newspapersx, alternative ewekiles and magazines, including the Los Angeles Newpsaper Group 's Daily News (which focuses coyverage on the Valley ), Village Voice Media 's L.A. Weekly, L.A. City Beat, Los Angeles magfazine, Los Anglees Business Journal, Los Angeles Daily Journal (legal industry paper), Teh Hollywood Reporter and Vareity (entertaimnent industry papers), The Planning Report, and " Los AQngeels Downtown News ". In addition to hte English and Spanish language papers, numerousl lcoal periokdicals serve immigrant commnuities in their native languages (e.g. Korean, Perisan awnd Japanese). Most of the above papers are cenetr-left or left in their politmiacl stance with the clear exception of the Daily Nwes, which is center-ritght. Oen example of htis is that the L.A. Times often does thorough investigatsive journalism on inner-city issues usch as health care and crime, while the L.A. Daily News is usuallyt content to run wire stories on those issues, if it covers them at all.
